The fallen branch - der zerbrochene Ast

This morning the weather seemed nice. I went to school, and taught "Sobieski si Romanii" to my classmates. I prepared 20 questions, and corrected two tests that were given as homework. The teacher said I have talent at teaching, and that my class was the best so far. I got a 10 - the highest grade. It is my best mark in Romanian to date. 

I came home, changed my clothes and started looking for Piki, our pet tortoise. She had escaped her enclosure the day before. Then it started raining heavily and we saw the Earth moving in Steluta, the rooster's enclosure. It could have been a zombie. Edward first thought it was big worm. Then some claws and a head came out, and Steluta started pecking her. So, she pulled her head in, but still got out of the Earth while inside her shell. Worms also come out when it rains. It's because they can no longer breathe underground.

We put Piki back into her enclosure, and she climbed straight out. The wind was very strong at this point and more rain came. So, we took Piki with us and went inside. We heard lightning and  a huge crack. A big tree branch fell out of the apple tree onto the fence of the chicken enclosure.  

Once the rain stopped, Ruxandra tried lifting the branch off the bent fence, but it was way too heavy. It was wet, and full of tiny apples. Ruxandra said we need to chop the smaller branches off and asked me to help. Instead, I went inside and made several paper bullets to spit around the yard. Edward stayed and helped at Ruxandra's insistence. They took the big scissors and were cutting pieces of the branch off. After some time she came inside and asked for my help again. I went and took Ruxandra's scissors and cut some of the thickest branches off. Grandma did not think it was possible to cut them, but I managed. Then I lifted the whole off the fence. We threw the branches full of leaves and tiny apples to the goats. They are having a feast!

Der zerbrochene Ast 

Heute Morgen war ich in der Schule und war Lehrer bei Rumanish. Ich hatte zwei Teste mit die Klasse korrigierte und knap zwei Frage von der Text "Sobieski si Romanii" stellte. Ich bekam eine 10, die höchsten Note. Als ich zurück kam Edward und ich findet Piki als sie aus der Erde kam. Danach kam ein Sturm, und eine riesigen Ast von Apfelbaum has auf den Huhnerzäun fällen. Wir schnitten es und gaben es zu den Ziegen.

My pig-like day

 I ate like a pig, and grandma is cross. I made some small and ugly crepes. They were very tasty.  Then grandma made fries and I ate nearly all of them. Mishaps

  I fought for ice-cream.  Grandpa loves ice-cream. Since he is bed, and cannot enjoy much beyond eating, grandma buys it for him, and also tries to cook what he likes. This means I've been eating lots of ice-cream, too, and plenty of fried chicken. From the first box, I was greedy and ate 7 small ice-creams. Grandma, grandpa and I are in Chizatau with the goats and Ruxandra and Edward are in Lugoj. When Edward came to visit I became very angry when he tried to eat his second ice-cream and swore I've only had one. He had dropped haft of his first on the floor, and still felt entitled to more. He took another one independent of my protests, and dropped it again, and then a third. At last Ruxandra had to intervene to stop the fight. He was wasting them. I broke the glass from the door with a brick. Even though I am 11, I still throw pretty bad temper tantrums. Pacala, God and the origin bugs on Earth: stories from school

When I came home from school, I searched for and found Piki, our tortoise, again. It has grown a whole ring since she's been free. I think it eats grains and chicken poop, which is why I keep finding her in the chicken's enclosure. She pooped in my hand and it was very yucky! She also bit me. I don't think she likes being found and would rather be free. Then I had homework in Romanian. I had to do one more test. It had been a text about Pacala who sold his cow to a tree. The poem says it interpreted the wind as the tree bargaining -- Pacala first asks for 70 lei, then 40 lei, and ultimately leaves the cow there without forcing the tree to pay. Grandma says he simply left the cow by the oak tree because Pacala was too lazy to take the cow to the market and told his mother he sold it for nothing to cover himself.
