David's Adventures

This morning the weather seemed nice. I went to school, and taught "Sobieski si Romanii" to my classmates. I prepared 20 questions, and corrected two tests that were given as homework. The teacher said I have talent at teaching, and that my class was the best so far. I got a 10 - the highest grade. It is my best mark in Romanian to date.  I came home, changed my clothes and started looking for Piki, our pet tortoise. She had escaped her enclosure the day before. Then it started raining heavily and we saw the Earth moving in Steluta, the rooster's enclosure. It could have been a zombie. Edward first thought it was big worm. Then some claws and a head came out, and Steluta started pecking her. So, she pulled her head in, but still got out of the Earth while inside her shell. Worms also come out when it rains. It's because they can no longer breathe underground. We put Piki back into her enclosure, and she climbed straight out. The wind was very strong at this poi...

I went to school until 2 and then to Judo lessons.  They are taught by Corina Caprioriu . She is world famous. At judo we played a lot. When I came home, I was very hungry. I ate what grandma cooked, and then I made popcorn for everyone. Grandpa ate several portions and even grandma and James ate lots. James is one and a half years old. He and Edward are my cousins, but we grow up together. Two ducklings came of the incubator and 5 others are hatching. The rest of the day we played. Heute hatte ich Schule bis 2. 

Today we went to the market. It was a special day because they had many animals. We bought two American hens and two baby geese. One of the hens died. The other is sad and refuses to eat. At Ruxandra's suggestion, Edward brought one of our chickens to keep it company. The two geese are under Petunia, our hen, who was already raising chicks and ducks. Everyone is learning how to be chicken. The geese spend a lot their time in the water dish, but seem happy otherwise. I really wanted a parrot, but Ruxandra and grandma did not buy me one. They said it would be unhappy in a small cage. For the summer, I wanted to go to California to see my mother and brother. At first mother said I could go if I was interested in the summer school Danny was joining. I don't think she expected me to say "Yes!", but I did.
